My approach to family sessions is let your children lead the way. The families I work with often let me know of locations or activities that are important to them and that helps me tell their story in an authentic way. This means we will have more fun together! Gentle encouragement, no forced smiles. Movement. Laughter. Snuggles. Treats shared. Games. Family photos should not feel boring, they should feel like YOU. If you like documentary style family photos, I’m your girl. Let’s leave the need to feel perfect and posed in every photo behind. You and your family are beautiful just as you are. I’ll show you!

MOTHERHOOD

Motherhood to me: the most beautiful thing in the world. It is pain and sadness and joy and fear and the most powerful love you have ever felt. I work with you every step of your journey and I’m here for anything you want me to be here for. Your relationship to your child is so important and I am here to do it justice. In the end of the movie ‘The Family Stone’, Sarah Jessica Parker passes around the beautiful framed black and white portrait of Diane Keaton pregnant after she had passed away. It is my goal each and every time to get you a Family Stone worthy portrait. The one that your child will look at years from now and think, “Wow, look at my beautiful mother who loved me so much.” We all deserve that photo.

MICROWEDDINGS + ELOPEMENTS

I work very closely with my couples to ensure that your story is portrayed in an authentic and beautiful way. This all starts with an engagement session, or sometimes a meeting over coffee. It is a requirement of mine that I have one on one time with you and we get to know each other, seeing as I’ll be a part of your most exciting day ever! My wedding photography style is documentary, with a little editorial mixed in. If you’re a fan of film, let’s capture some of your day that way too! Your wedding day is about you and the emotion and love felt by all who get to witness it. I can’t wait to hear your story and I feel honored to get to tell such a monumental part of it.
